Drumables is a series of interactive learning workbooks to guide young and beginner students through the basics of drumming. Aimed at ages 3-8, drum-based characters lead children through exercises, games, theory, and techniques, laying a solid musical foundation in a fun and engaging format. Workbooks are accompanied by a drumless backing track CD, with the tracks also available to stream for free on major platforms like Spotify and Youtube.

Backbone Drums is a drum syllabus developed by professional drum educators, offering a structured progression with a unique and customisable approach. It develops and progresses essential musical and technical skills, whilst encouraging musicality, creativity, and sticks-on drumming. The syllabus is highly customisable, ideal for teachers who like to adapt to each student’s needs (that’s us!), and perfect for students who like a structured but low-pressure approach to learning. The syllabus is accompanied by a huge catalogue of drumless backing tracks, available on major streaming platforms.
RSL Awards is a leading music exam board in the UK and internationally, known for its focus on contemporary styles like rock and pop.
We teach our graded students the Rockschool syllabus, ensuring they’re perfectly prepared for exams.
For those who wish to take exams:
We offer RSL Awards (Rockschool LTD) grades. Grades 1-6 are fully accredited by OfQual, and grades 6 and up contribute towards UCAS points. Our students enter their exams well-prepared and confident, so we’re very proud of their 100% pass rate.
Exams are held three times per year at Tunbridge Wells School of Music in Frant, near Tunbridge Wells.
